Statement by CASB member Les Filotas

In an interview given to the Ottawa Citizen on April 29, 1988 Les Filotas, a member of the Canadian Aviation Safety board had this to say: "I've had a lot of trouble since I joined the board to satisfy myself that the factual underpinnings of our accident reports are soundly based".

These words go a long way in describing the rift between CASB investigators and CASB board members. The facts are not being provided to board members that are necessary to conduct a proper investigation.
