Antique 1800s Native American Plains Indian Cheyenne or Sioux Beaded Buckskin Tobacco Pouch Bag 5" with Fringe. Made with very old seed beads in butter yellow, dark navy, muted green and blue in a checkerboard pattern, sinew strap, and fringe along the edges. The beads are not uniform, indicating mid 1800s origin.
This item comes from my family's personal collection. My in-laws were lifelong dealers/collectors of Native American artifacts. Most recently, they owned & operated an antique store in Goldsboro, NC called Towns Antiques. They purchased many of their items from collectors/dealers and auctions in the Northeast (Western PA and NY), Utah, and Nevada
