First printing of this hardcover edition of A Mathematician’s Apology by G. H. Hardy (Cambridge University Press, 1967). With foreword by C. P. Snow. Memoir of a conversation between Hardy and a visiting distinguished mathematician over dinner. Philosophical science / mathematics book. Price clipped jacket now protected in removable archival sleeve but with mild rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges. Boards are straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding material is faintly visible in a few gutters though spine is straight and binding remains strong on the whole. Previous owner’s inscription on creased front endpaper, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked though tanned. See photos for condition.
