Your buying 1 Pearl Hybrid Exotic Kapur-Fiberglass 14" Diameter X 5" Deep Snare Drum, List Price $1,080.00 in Ebony Lacquer (Black) with a thin Pearl Inlay stripe in the center of the shell. I am the original owner of this snare and I purchased the drum from an authorized Pearl dealer. This Snare has Kapur-Fiberglass shell and is BRAND NEW. The drum was removed from the box for pictures only. The pictures were taken in June 2020.
The Hybrid Exotic series Kapur/Fiberglass blends the warmer properties of its 6-ply shell with the higher, controlled frequencies of a thin layer of hand-applied Fiberglass. The resulting shell produces rich, warm stick definition with added crack and projection.
To maintain tuning tension rods across the batter head, all Hybrid Exotic snare drums feature Pearl's new Spin-Tight Tension Rods. The elegantly simple innovation creates a tension rod-within-a-tension rod, which allows the rod to expand.
