These super thick & heavy tiles were made by Armogres Belgium - a pottery company based in Bouffioulx Belgium that operated from 1955 to the 1970s. The company produced a variety of ceramic pieces featuring unique designs on stoneware materials. These tiles represent two Zodiac figures: a Capricorn goat and an Aries ram. There is some damage on the front of the tiles as shown in the pictures - if I had ever installed these instead of putting them in storage for 20+ years I would have painted the damaged areas brown - the tiles are so rustic it may blend right in. The tiles have been salvaged and there is some damage/mortar, particularly on the back of the goat.
About 6" square & an incredible 1 1/8" thick not including the raised design. Each tile weighs over 3 pounds!
