Amazing fabric and leather look art doll!
Sad Clown with Balloons - signed Jan 2007
Approx. 24” long from feet to top of hat.
Head/face, hands, feet/legs appear to be made with fabric coated to look like leather. Face has raised features in same leathery material stitched in place; eyelids, cheeks, mouth, nose.
Has wool felt cone hat with wool felt dots stitched in place. Tailored pieced jacket, pin striped pants, bells on the toes of his shoes, and 5 calico cotton fabric balloons. Clothes are not removable, not actually part of his body, just stitched closed onto/around his body.
Overall wonderful condition! There are a couple of seams fraying, one at the back of the jacket and one inside the crotch area which is only visible if you search for it.
