Pre-1950 hand sculpted Chinese ivory large-sized “spinning” puzzle ball with elaborate and intricately carve. Please note that while the piece is in overall good shape, the spinning function of this sculpture no longer operates. The piece is 11” high, and 3” diameter at the base. The puzzle ball is 2.5” diameter. It comes in its original glass-fronted case, the box of which shows its age. There is some minor wear at various locations, and a small chip along the lip edge of the pedestal base, visible in the first picture. This is a truly spectacular ivory piece, and it’s like may never be seen outside of an estate auction house in the future. Carpe diem!
Mercari says “Free Shipping,” but don’t be fooled. Automatic shipping charge calculating your fee, does not work when Priority Mail for USPS is chosen., which is necessary for the shipment to go from Hawaii by airmail. So I will need to charge $19.15 above the sale price of this item.
