Please review each photograph provided as our pictures are always an important part of our descriptions. I cannot say for sure what period this bowl is from. My limited research tells me it could possibly be from the Edo period but I am no expert. Kobachi bowls are most commonly used to serve rice or smaller portions of Japanese Cuisine. This bowl is hand painted and free of chips, cracks, crazing, etc. The painted design is worn in areas as shown in the photos.
